Heyyo, what's up, guys. How's your day? Stay healthy, right? If I give you the option to taste authentic foods in Yogyakarta, what will you choose? Gudeg? Sate Klatak? Oseng-oseng mercon, or other foods?
If we talk about the variety of food in Jogja, I visited a different restaurant than usual. The name of the restaurant is Mai'nake. Mai'nake provides Bali specialties, starting from sate lilit, rujak kuah, ayam betutu, and various drinks.
Many buyers came when I visited this place, which happened to be at lunchtime. We tasted the nasi campur lengkap (literally translated as complete mixed rice) served from rice, urap vegetables, noodles, shredded chicken, eggs, special chili sauce, and a well-known Balinese food, namely sate lilit. This satay is not like the usual Madura variant satay that is often found in Indonesia. The Madura version is made from skewered big chunks of meat (can be from chicken or beef) and has a distinctive aroma because it is grilled with soy sauce. Meanwhile sate lilit is made from ground meat then mixed with grated coconut, coconut milk, lime, pepper, shallots, and salt. The meat mixture is then attached to a flat piece of wood and finally served with sambal matah.
One of Yogyakarta's uniqueness is that students or tourists, especially those from Bali, don't have to worry about missing their hometown because there is a cheap Balinese restaurant in Yogyakarta. You will still taste the delicious dishes that on par with authentic food in Bali.
Mai'nake restaurant is located at Jl. Pura, No 192 B, Sorowajan Banguntapan, Bantul. This restaurant is one of the recommendations for tourists. When you are in this area and get hungry, you don't need to be confused because this place is the answer to worms' sound in the stomach. The price range was relatively cheap, starting from IDR 10,000 to IDR 16,000, tourists can feel satisfied with a delicious filling meal and good service.
So, what do you think guys?
Brotherhood of travelers... Come and enjoy the beautiful vibes in Jogja city, which is so impressive. Since Mai'nake is not too far away from the city, you can go there easily. Anyway, since I don't want the hassle of arranging everything, I went there with a local Yogyakarta tour operator. With them, your trip will be delightful and memorable.
Lastly, don't forget to follow the health protocol by using the mask, social distancing, and always washing your hands.
